Music Research at UU

For nearly 100 years, musicology has been practiced in Utrecht as a research and educational field. Today, the University is the largest hub for music scholarship in the Netherlands, fuelled by the musicology team in the Department of Media and Culture Studies with ten permanent members of staff. Moreover, the University is home to the Music Information Computing group in the Faculty of Science and numerous other scholars working on music-related topics in adjacent departments.

This website provides the latest news and updates about the various musicological activities that take place across (and beyond) the University, and aims to help facilitate and cultivate external connections.
